This Sunday, July 9 at 2 p.m., in conjunction with the Wende Museum's current exhibition, Vietnam in Transition, 1976–Present, we are thrilled to host an in-person talk with the acclaimed artist Binh Danh.
Weaving together imagery and memories, Danh's artwork captures the complex history of this pivotal period. As a Vietnamese American, Danh's perspective provides a thought-provoking look into the realities of war and its long-lasting, multigenerational effects. His groundbreaking technique—chlorophyll printing—inscribes poignant images of war directly onto tree leaves, thus symbolizing the powerful connections between memory, life, death, and the cycles of nature.
During his talk, Danh will delve into the conceptual and technical aspects of his practice, sharing insights into his creative process and the profound narratives embedded within his work.
This conversation is not to be missed!
