Make Room is pleased to announce 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙮, a summer group show of work by emerging Los Angeles based artists, highlighting how a new generation of Los Angeles artists are responding to the history and landscape of the city, adding to its chimerical form. The harsh light of the sun, the dark night of clear skies, inspires visions, strange sights, where things appear to carry secret intentions. Desolate corners, heaps of detritus, the transfiguration of sunset, the glow of buzzing lights . . . Los Angeles resists a unifying image. It presents itself as a collage or patchwork of fragments—everything and nothing at once. 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙮 offers another view of the city, one composed of the young artists grappling to picture it now.
